The Premier League has seen a decrease in open-play goals, with only 196 goals scored so far this season, averaging 1.78 goals per game. This trend is on track to be the lowest in 16 years. Wolves have experienced the biggest decline in open-play goals, while Manchester City has seen a notable increase in open-play goals, with 22 out of their 23 goals coming from open play.
