VW introduces monthly subscription to increase car power

Volkswagen (VW) launches power upgrade subscription for UK customers, offering the option to unlock full engine power in its ID.3 range electric cars for a monthly fee of £16.50 or an annual fee of £165, with a lifetime option at £649. This new feature allows for a "sportier" driving experience and gives buyers the choice to enhance their vehicle's performance after purchase. The subscription remains with the car if resold, but some customers have expressed concerns about paying for features that may already be present in their vehicles.
