Fortnite faces complaint from actors' union over AI Darth Vader

Sag-Aftra, the actors' union, filed a complaint against Fortnite's use of AI to recreate Darth Vader's voice, accusing Epic Games of replacing human performers with AI without negotiating with the union. The complaint, filed to the US National Labor Relations Board, alleges Epic Games of making unilateral changes to employment conditions. The recreation of Darth Vader's voice in Fortnite was made possible with the approval of James Earl Jones' estate, who originally voiced the character in the Star Wars franchise. Epic Games has not yet responded to the complaint.
