Tours on hold amid sudden closure of city landmark
Roundhouse Birmingham, a landmark heritage site in Birmingham, announced the sudden closure of its city and canal tours due to financial challenges from increasing costs. Customers who had booked tours will receive refunds, as stated in a Facebook post. The Grade II* listed Roundhouse building will remain open only for its restaurant, with a pause on all tours and activities as the organization assesses its leisure programs. The site was built in the 19th century and operates as a charity in partnership with Canal & River Trust and the National Trust.
