Learner driver failed theory test 128 times, report says

A learner driver has reportedly failed their theory test 128 times, costing them about £3,000. Official figures show that over 200 people have failed their theory test more than 40 times. The theory test, introduced nearly 30 years ago, is a prerequisite for booking a practical driving test. Data from the AA reveals that some learners have taken their practical test up to 37 times without passing, with the pass rate for theory tests at 44.9% and practical tests at 48.7%.
