Greater Anglia transfers to public ownership

Greater Anglia, a key rail operator running services between Norwich and London, has been transferred to public ownership as part of the UK government's efforts to renationalize the rail network. With this move, half of all rail operators are now publicly owned, seeking a more unified Great British Railways network. Greater Anglia aims to prioritize passenger interests through this transfer, following its recognition as Rail Operator of the Year and with plans for continued growth and service improvements, including the opening of new stations and a new fleet of bi-mode trains.
