Cost of living plan renewed for another year

Medway Council renews cost of living plan for another year, providing support to Kent households on low incomes. The crisis response scheme, in place since July 2023, offers financial aid for housing, energy, water, and other essentials to struggling residents. Current assistance includes financial support, food parcels, housing help, and discounts such as reduced entry fees for those on Universal Credit at The Historic Dockyard Chatham, with an aim to help residents live comfortably despite challenges.
